#7: Canadian Like Me: The Worst of the Toronto International Film Festival

Download episode here.

Episode Description: This September, I was lucky enough to attend the Toronto International Film Festival, which gave me a fun idea for this month’s podcast: Watch some of the most notorious, the most disreputable and yes, the most poorly received to screen at the fest of late. Steve and I brainstormed some and came up with a number of crazy titles to discuss, including Jennifer’s Body, the Diablo Cody-scripted, ironic post-9/11 horror comedy, and Shadowboxer, the film Lee “I’m Taking My Belt Off” Daniels directed before he excreted Precious: Based On the Novel ‘Push’ By Sapphire. Totally unrelated to this topic, the month’s Netflix Grab Bag title is loudQUIETloud: A Film About the Pixies, a terrific concert documentary about the seminal grunge band’s much-anticipated 2004 reunion tour. As always, your comments and feedback are greatly appreciated.
