Lauren Wissot is a veteran film critic and journalist who has written extensively for Filmmaker magazine, Documentary magazine, IndieWire, Modern Times Review (Europe’s documentary magazine) and many other publications. Focused primarily on film festivals and interviews, Lauren has reported on the ground from nearly a dozen and a half events throughout the US, and another dozen and a half internationally, primarily across Europe, but also in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. She prefers discovering under the radar fests (Helsinki’s Love & Anarchy! Docudays UA in Kyiv! Pornfilmfestival Berlin!) to covering the usual celebrity-soaked suspects.
